After completing an English and Journalism degree Kate headed for the bright lights of London and the glamorous world of magazines. She began her career working for a very unglamorous satirical magazine called The Insider (a joint venture between Time Out and The Big Issue). From there she went to The Press Association where she produced work for many of the UK’s national newspapers including The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Mirror and The Independent. The next move was to IPC Media where Kate worked for many of their top titles including Woman’s Weekly, Essentials, Melody Maker, Yachting Monthly, Cycling Weekly and Horse & Hound.

In 2001 Kate left her friends and family in England to travel. After three months in the US she arrived in Sydney, Australia. She began writing again and went to work for That’s Life magazine. After spending some time there she moved to The Sunday Telegraph, where she became deputy editor of Body + Soul.

Kate now lives in Bristol, UK and works as a full-time freelance writer, journalist and editor and is currently writing her first novel. Her work appears in Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Cosmo Bride, Body + Soul, Homeowner, Escape (The Sunday Telegraph), Girlfriend, Dolly, Take 5 and That’s Life. She also works for corporate clients, trade publications and websites
